About
Katreen Cook is a self-taught artist and creator of children’s picture books, who believes every story holds a little bit of magic. She wrote her very first illustrated story at eight - illustrated in crayon, of course - and has been dreaming in stories ever since.
Katreen draws inspiration from the wonder of the natural world and delights in celebrating the bonds of family in her books and paintings. With every children’s picture book, she hopes to spark wonder, joy, and endless imagination in children everywhere. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband and two curious children, along with Coco - the bouncy Staffy who insists on starring in every tale.
